Our coaches are making history….

The hugely successful partnership between Mini’s Academy’s & Exeter Chiefs Academy, is going from strength to strength with children at schools across Exeter having not just one, but two Academy players assist their regular Chiefs Community Coach, at their after school sessions.

Coaching with Mini’s is a fantastic opportunity for the next generation of professional rugby players, in Exeter, to look beyond their playing careers and start getting some solid foundations in place for a career beyond the premiership.

Tracey Duke, co-founder at Mini’s says “We couldn’t be prouder of the academy players we work with; each and every week, they engage with the children and have a real desire to see them grow & develop. It’s an amazing opportunity not just for the coaches but for the kids as well" .

Earlier this month, two of our guys were involved in the historic win, against Gosford College, in the AASE final at Allianz Park, with Dan Swain taking the captains role and Sam Daly rightly being shortlisted as man of the match.

It was the first time in the history of the AASE league that an Academy other than Hartpury, which regularly feeds into the England squad, has won. The boys have much to be proud of and a huge future ahead.
